Clients are asked to prepare a 5-minute presentation or talk about their projects to the class, field any questions, etc. Students will also follow up with the clients over the next week or so as we prepare to write proposals. In person is preferred.

January 23, 2025Proposal Presentations
Each client will receive proposal presentaoions from two student teams. In person is strongly preferred. Clients are asked to rank their first and second choice, but be willing to work with either team. One team will be assigned taking into account client preferences first and student preferences second.

Students give an in-class presentation updating on progress. Clients are invited to attend.

April 3, 2025Final presentation
Students give a final in-class presentation updating on progress. Clients are invited to attend, and/or are encouraged to have students give this proposal to their organization on their own schedule.

project planning operations business analytics business consulting data analysisBeginning in January, a team of 3-4 Student Consultants will dedicate 400+ hours working as a consulting team for your organization. They are in their 4th year of the Operations Management program at the Alberta School of Business. Their expertise is in data analytics and operations management. Based on the information and goals you provide, the group will develop solutions and recommendations to solve your analytical challenge.
This is a paid opportunity with a cost estimated between $5000 and $7000 (per team).
Mandatory deliverables:
- Project proposal/bid
- Project completion presentation (findings, recommendations)
- Further deliverables are determined between the student team and your organization during the proposal phase.
Additional deliverables may include:
- Excel model
- Documentation
- Source code
- Other findings as requested and agreed upon
