They could be projects where students need to migrate and prepare on-premise applications for the Cloud; existing Cloud applications in need of refactoring and improvements; creating new applications for the Cloud; analyzing Cloud solutions; engineering Cloud Applications and Solutions; analyzing and providing Cloud security insights to existing or new applications; analyzing and providing governance and security insights to existing or new Cloud applications

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Phase 1 - Students will coordinate with the company representatives and come up with a plan to deliver the projects. (January 2025)

Phase 2 - Students will work on the projects. They will be in close contact with the company representatives. They will report their progress to the course instructor and ask their questions. The instructor will help them stay on track to finish the projects in time. (January to April 2025)

Phase 3 - Students will present their work. The company representatives and instructor will be invited. (April 2025)

  • Implementation of new applications and deployment to the Cloud
  • Migrating on-premise applications to the Cloud
  • Refactoring legacy and monolithic applications and preparing them for the Cloud
  • Optimizing existing Cloud applications in terms of cost, security, and performance
  • Creating different environments for development, staging, and production
  • Analyzing existing DevOps methods and creating CI/CD pipeline (using Terraform and GitOps)
  • Developing applications based on clients' requirements to the cloud environment
