content creation advocacy grant writing research writing fundraising mentorship operationsWe want students to help us with our programs and operations with grant and fundraising experience aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization.
BEBC is a black-led organization, representing Black businesses in Canada. We are providing a unified platform for advocating and supporting Black entrepreneurs and businesses in Canada. In addition to advocacy, we help facilitate access to financing (Federal, Provincial, and Local) and provide advisory and mentorship services to our members.
Our goal is to help Black businesses grow, scale up and become sustainable.
Ultimately, you will be working on our youth program Initiative for our organization, including helping us organize the program, creating content for social media, and hosting town hall meetings.
If you like the sound of our culture and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you.
To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will:
- Research grants relevant to our organization through the various platforms + grant subscriptions
- Grant writing and supporting our team with reaching deadlines
Students will work closely with the primary project manager and Project Coordinator, who is supervising and available for questions and support throughout their internships. You will be able to get mentored by the overall team, including the founder and CEO, attend teams meeting and grow in and with the organization.
This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.
