usability testing researchThe BoardSpace app has paying customers and is well developed. We would like to conduct user testing on our current web application. We believe that insights coming out of these experiments will help us design a better product, provide insights into how to help our customers and offer a better experience to our customers.
We would like a group of students to conduct user testing scenarios on our product with a handful of current and potential customers of ours and then report the results back to us.
- Conducting background research on our existing web application. We will provide a walkthrough and access to the app.
- Identifying key areas of our current product and narrowing down which sections of the product and what scenarios should be tested with the users.
- Learning about various testing techniques that are currently industry standard and learning how to perform them efficiently and capture feedback well.
- Conducting user testing scenarios with our product and reporting results back
By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:
- Familiarize themselves with industry-standard user testing processes
- Conduct user testing scenarios with real and potential users
- Present findings and provide a detailed written report of methodology, test subjects, tests, and outcomes / insights.
Final deliverables should include
- A final report detailing methodology, test subjects, tests, and outcomes / insights.
- A presentation of the final report
Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:
- Current product understanding
- Access to the BoardSpace app and assistance in inviting current customers to participate.
About the company
BoardSpace is an online portal for the volunteer directors and administrators of condos, HOAs, non-profits and charities. BoardSpace overcomes the daunting task of looking after hundreds of documents, attending lots of meetings, preparing agendas, approving minutes and keeping on top of to-lists by providing boards with the tools to get their work done more efficiently and in less time.
Pat Crosscombe founded BoardSpace due to her experience on a condo board. BoardSpace is on a mission to organize the boards of directors of the world and was built by a team that understands the needs of condo and non-profit boards.
