The goal of this project is to enhance Edventive's existing handwritten work processing system, with a focus on improving question-answer pair detection, implementing step-by-step problem-solving analysis, and developing basic PDF annotation tools for uploaded student work.

Deliverables

Timeline: 


Month 1: System Familiarization and Question-Answer Pair Enhancement 

 

Objectives: 

  • Familiarize students with Edventive's existing infrastructure using a simplified code repository 
  • Enhance question-answer pair detection capabilities with Google/Microsoft/other APIs 

 

Key Deliverables: 

  • Prototype with Improved detection of question-answers pairs from handwritten documents 
  • Prototype handling multi-part questions 

 

Month 2: Step-by-Step Problem Solving and Process Analysis 

 

Objectives: 

  • Develop tools for analyzing student problem-solving processes 
  • Create visualizations of step-by-step problem-solving 

 

Key Deliverables: 

  • Prototype for identifying and tracking multi-step problem-solving 
  • Teacher dashboard for viewing process analysis results 

 

Month 3: Advanced PDF Annotation and Manual Grading Enhancements 

 

Objectives: 

  • Implement basic PDF annotation tools 
  • Integrate OCR text extraction with PDF annotation

  • Interactive PDF annotation system
