target market customer acquisition management value propositions go-to-market strategy consulting customer retentionWe are looking to work with students to help us identify new opportunities to achieve our business goals with our e-commerce merch store (shop.laconnexional.com). 100% of the proceeds from our merch are reinvested back into supporting and building resources for people of ABCL descent. Eventually, we would like a portion of this proceeds to specifically go towards a grant fund that will support students in need. We are extremely open to feedback about user navigation and any other areas of focus, as we would like our assigned person or team to preform a comprehensive analysis of our e-commerce business and areas of improvement. We have shared a few high priority goals and desired benefits below to help guide you:
- Understanding our ideal target market
- Creating a premium user-experience from start to finish for our customers
- Evaluating pricing compare to other stores as well as value-proposition of the brand
- Create effective customer retention systems such as a membership perk
- Primary areas we would like to focus on are:
- Strategy: Including but not limited to defining/entering new markets, delivering new products/services, defining/designing competitive advantage, evaluating/defining/designing viable business models.
- Marketing: Including but not limited to defining market channels, designing go-to-market plans, customer acquisition/retention.
We will work closely with the intern or team to identify a well-rounded and precisely defined problem statement, expectations, exclusion, deliverable(s), and timeline for implementation. We vouch to work with the team on:
- Mutually setting communication times and protocols of frequent meetings plan for the two parties engagement during the project timeline.
- Ensuring timely transfer of information and firm commitment to scheduled meetings to support project success.
- Providing a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.
- Being available for phone calls with the experiential learning facilitator to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.
About the company
La Connexional’s mission is to promote development, and growth, social integration, social inclusion and multicultural understanding between African, Caribbean, Latinx and Canadian communities, by being a source of historical and cultural education, and multicultural, networking, and entrepreneurial events. La Connexional uses social innovation, entrepreneurship, and collective collaborations to build vibrant communities and create positive generational impact that starts with communities of the African and Latinex diaspora, and then reverberates out to the communities they inhabit across Canada. Throughout the years, La Connexional has (directly and indirectly) contributed over 60K in the African, Black, Caribbean and Latine communities. In 2018, we held the first ever Afro Latin Festival in Canada (which has grown from 150 attendees to 800 in 3 years). Many of our experiences being bilingual & economically accessible.
