The main goal for the project is to design and create 3D characters, assets, and animated cutscenes for a video game developed by Jitterware, a game development studio located in Ottawa, Canada. The game is stylized with unique features and intense gameplay, and the company is looking for high-quality, visually appealing designs to enhance the overall gaming experience.


This will involve several different steps for the students, including:


- Understanding the visual style and aesthetic of the video game.


- Designing and creating 3D characters and assets that align with the game's theme and gameplay.


- Developing animated cutscenes that effectively convey the game's narrative and enhance the player's immersion.


- Collaborating with the game development team to ensure seamless integration of the designed elements into the game environment.


- Iterating on designs based on feedback and testing to achieve the desired visual impact and functionality within the game.


Deliverables


By the end of the project, students should complete the following tasks:


- Concept art and design sketches for 3D characters and assets.


- High-quality 3D models and textures for the designed characters and assets.


- Animated cutscenes that effectively convey the game's narrative and engage the player.


- Documentation of the design process, including iterations and feedback received.


- Collaboration with the game development team to integrate the designed elements into the game environment.



Final deliverables:


- All source files for the designed 3D characters, assets, and animated cutscenes.


- A comprehensive report detailing the design process, challenges, and solutions.


- Presentation of the designed elements and their integration into the game environment.

Mentorship

Jitterware will be working closely with the student to ensure the artistic style aligns with the creator's vision. As well as providing access to employees which is necessary for debugging in the Unity game engine. Jitterware will also, work to integrate the 3D animations into the gameplay. Finally, the game will made available to download through a Git repository.
