Details

We will be transitioning from Google to Microsoft this summer and are seeking a computer science student to create a strategy for how to move forward seamlessly as well as implement the migration. This represents one of a number of data projects we are undertaking this summer. Other projects include streamlining and migrate our internal serve and building processes to better capture our data/ integrate data analysis to better inform our practices. A student will have the opportunity to work any of the following projects:

Email Migration

  • Researching best practices & implement plan to migrate emails from Gmail to Microsoft Office

Server Migration

  • Researching and developing a plan/ data architecture to migrate our current internal system to a new server
  • Establishing a permissions access structure to grant certain employees access to the data as it pertains to their role in line with PHIPPA, PIPEDA

Data Metrics

  • Looking into software plug-ins to work with clinic's current systems to better collect data/ conduct data queries, such as:
  • Understanding client retention, physician referrals, word of mouth traction
  • How end users interface with our website and what metrics we should integrate to measure future activity

Examples of Deliverables

  • Research reports summarizing research on softwares for metrics, data infrastructure plan/ map for server migration, implementation rollout plan for emails

Mentorship

The student will be supervised by 3 members of our team, who will guide the student during the internship and direct them to sources that will help them in their tasks. The student will also have the opportunity to participate in team meetings (1x week) and huddles (2x a week).
