Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

The main goal for the project is to design social assets for Toast: a membership-based collective that connects women to roles in tech. The assets will be used to promote the company's mission and connect with potential members and partners on social media channels.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Understand Toast's brand identity, mission, and target audience.
  • Get to know Toast's brand voice, tone and sense of humour. We like the push the limits: both in our brand identity, and the quality of work we put out.
  • Create designs for social media posts, banners, and other promotional materials using canvas, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Collaborate with Toast's Marketing Lead and Founders to ensure the designs align with the company's messaging and goals.
  • Incorporate feedback and make revisions to the designs as needed.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should complete the following tasks:

  • Designs for social media posts, banners, and other promotional materials that reflect TryToast's brand identity and mission.
  • Collaboration with TryToast's marketing team to ensure the designs meet the company's requirements.
  • Revisions and final versions of the designs based on feedback.

Final deliverables:

  • High-quality, professional designs in various formats for use on social media and other promotional channels.

About the company

Toast is a membership-based collective that’s flipping the hiring dynamic for women in tech. We connect women to roles we believe in, at companies we trust. We set up our members so they’re getting exactly what they deserve: more money, more flexibility, less bullsh*t.
