editorial calendar content marketing food manufacturing media lists social media automation food safety and sanitation google docs public relations innovationThe main goal for the project is to conduct research on the editorial calendars of food industry trade publications in order to inform public relations and content marketing strategy for Icicle Technologies. This will involve a number of steps for the learners, including:
- Researching to verify current editorial contacts to update a provided media list
- Downloading the latest copy of each publication's editorial calendar
- Generating an Editorial Calendar Matrix for 2024
- Highlighting the best opportunities for Icicle to contribute to planned content
By the end of the project, learners should complete the following tasks:
- An updated media list on a shared google doc including the names of each identified trade publication, media group, editorial or newsroom contacts with email, phone and social media links
- A editorial calendar matrix following a provided template, detailing the planned features for each publication month by month, or per issue with highlighted opportunities that fit within Icicle's areas of expertise (e.g. food safety, traceability, automation and innovation for food manufacturing)
The selected student will work closely with our Marketing Manager remotely with regular check-ins via Google Meet and email.
