Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

The main goal for this project is to enhance the social media content on HostelMatch platforms, which is utilized by solo backpackers worldwide for hostel discovery. We aim to collaborate with students to implement new trends and thinking to showcase Hostelmatch as a brand of choice during solo travel.

  • Working on the Video Creation: Working to create videos that promote hostel match
  • Branded content for static and videos
  • Trend based content to help promote Hostelmatch.
  • Engage with backpackers on social media to promote Hostelmatch.

By engaging with students, we seek to bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to our platform, ultimately providing a more seamless and enjoyable experience for our users.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
  1. Brand Identity Posts
  • Static images for Instagram and TikTok with new hostelmatch branding 
  • Explore other platforms and travel companies that do this well 


  1. Video Content
  • On trend video and other content to promote Hostelmatch
  • Experience with Instagram/ Tik Tok & Youtube
  • Should know the usage of Capcut


  1. Promote Brand on socials
  • Promote Hostelmatch on all social channels ( Instagram, FB, Tik Tok, Redditt & Solo travel platforms)

About the company

HostelMatch reduces time spent on hostel discovery to under 30 seconds by matching backpackers to the right hostels based on the vibe of the hostel and activities offered.

HostelMatch allows customers to book directly with hostels at discounted rates providing backpackers with the cheapest rates online; removing the commission structure that hostels need to pay OTA platforms like Booking.com & hostelworld.
