What is the main goal for this project?

Our company advertises our products online. We hope to revamp our marketing to attract more customers.

We would like to work with students to design a new social marketing campaign for our company.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Marketing Strategy Review: Provide recommendations on what methods we can use to leverage and improve our marketing strategy, taking in consideration the company's budget and current marketing strategy.
  • 4 P's Marketing strategy: Provide insight and recommend sustainable strategies related to the 4 P's: Product, Place, Price and Promotion (Marketing Mix).
  • SWOT Analysis (identify our competitors and our strengths and advantages compared to them), as well as market risks and opportunities.
  • Social Media: Identifying social media channels and strategies suitable for our company to reach our ideal target customer.
  • Planning types of campaign content to create for each channel.
  • Identifying metrics to monitor throughout the campaign.


What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Understanding of our company’s products and goals
  • Recommendation of Marketing Mix Strategy: Pricing (ideal price point for the target market), Products (what product mix the target market is looking for), Placement (how to present the product and where), Promotion (type of promotion to attract client)
  • Identification of our current landscape: our market, competitors, opportunities, risks
  • Recommendation of Marketing Strategy: suitable social media channels, budget, type of content
  • Identification of metrics to monitor the campaign’s success
  • Creation of a social media content calendar to organize the campaign


Final deliverables should include

  • A 10-15 minute presentation with the recommendations and findings.
