Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Create a sponsorship package and support the development of a sponsorship plan of action for the Yonge North York Signature Winter Display, our free winter community light display. This event is undertaken with a local event organization to generalize the vibrant and more outdoor opportunity over the February 2024 period.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
  • Research sponsorship packages online for similar events and festivals including what types of content and marketing materials are included, and pricing models.
  • Draft a tiered sponsorship package that is visually appealing and aligned with our interim branding in software such as Canva. The sponsorship package should be formatted so that it is easy to adjust and rebrand each year.
  • Put together a list of potential sponsors within our district to approach and include a potential contact person or starting point where available.
  • A smaller component of the research would be to investigate potential leads for companies that facilitate connecting sponsors with opportunities.
  • Incorporate input and suggestions from our Team Project Members.
  • Provide Sponsorship detail, research of file, a tips for approaching sponsors and shortlist of appointments for set up for BIA staff.
  • Discover organizations that may provide sponsorship curation services.

About the company

The Yonge North York Business Improvement Area (BIA) was recently established and is one of over 80 BIAs in Toronto.
