Details

We would like students to help us with our programs and operations that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization.

BEBC is a black-led organization, representing Black businesses in Canada. We are providing a unified platform for advocating and supporting Black entrepreneurs and businesses in Canada. In addition to advocacy, we help facilitate access to financing (Federal, Provincial, and Local) and provide advisory and mentorship services to our members.

Our goal is to help Black businesses grow, scale up and become sustainable.

Ultimately, you will be working on our youth program Initiative for our organization, including helping us organize the program, creating content for social media, and hosting town hall meetings.

If you like the sound of our culture, and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you.

Deliverables

To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will:

  • Participate in the BEBC Pitch and BEBC Summit 2023 brand redesign, launch and implementation.
  • Support all our youths educational program as needed
  • Set up introductory calls, and emails with members to establish and build relationships to support them
  • Outreach to Other Organizations
  • Website updates
  • Assisting staff with tracking, formatting and archiving reviews and other media.
  • Assist with implementing the Strategic Development Plan for communications, including newsletters (internal and external).
  • Support team as needed with logistics, planning and coordination of those involved in participating in video & photoshoots
  • Reach out to members for content about them and their businesses to promote them and use for our social media and newsletters support
  • Assisting in the production of advertisements, press releases, promotional materials and digital/marketing communications
  • Assist with content curation strategies and curating Programming Schedule.
Mentorship

Students will work closely with the primary project manager and Project Coordinator, who is supervising and available for questions and support throughout their internships. You will be able to get mentored by the overall team, including the founder and CEO, attend teams meeting and grow in and with the organization.

This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.
