We would like a student to work for 80 hours to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and the work we're doing to connect people in Saskatoon with the work and the real-time needs of non-profits. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of our organization.
We need someone to create blog posts, email newsletters, and other communication to spread the work that we're doing.
To accomplish this, we expect the student will:
- Write blog articles, email newsletters/sequences and other content pieces on assigned topics
- Evaluate recent successful user-generated campaigns, preferably in our sector
- Identify media outlets that are most beneficial to share our story
- Write monthly updates to share with sponsors, our non-profit partners and people who visit the site
Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our organization, including video, social media, and other collateral that we can use as go-to marketing tools.
If you like the sound of our culture, and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you.
A student with excellent writing and video skills would be the ideal candidate for this project.
As required by Level Up, we intend to offer five hours of mentorship, sharing our insights on the sector, and this innovative project, but we will be available and in communication throughout the work that you do.
About the company
We want to connect local donors with local non-profits in order to solve issues in our community that exist right now.
Our site came about because we realized there was a disconnect between the community, nonprofits and the work non-profits do.
Much of this became very clear after two community members experienced what it was to live as if they were homeless through the The Sanctum Survivor Challenge.
After the 36-hour-challenge these two community members wanted to give back to the organizations that helped them, and it was a lot harder than they thought it should be. One Small Step Alliance was created.
We believe there should be an easier way to connect so we spent countless hours listening to community members, asking advice, doing surveys, researching, and listening to non-profits so that this space truly serves what is needed, always keeping in mind that we didn't want to recreate something already in place.
