- What is the main goal for this project?

TinyHorse sells gear for walking multiple dogs. From 2017-2021 we strictly sold our products through our online store at walkmultipledogs.com. In 2021, we participated in trade shows (Canadian Pet Expo) and dog-related events for the first time. It helped our business grow substantially. Now we have a Brick & Mortar location in Toronto, and in 2024 we want to increase our presence at events. But we need a comprehensive list of events to create our schedule.
We are seeking a student to generate an events list (Excel spreadsheet) for us that includes all the necessary information we need to create our event schedule this year. We are seeking a Canada-wide list of 100+ events.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

To successfully complete this project, the student will:
- Research pet-related events happen in 2024 across Canada, including -- but not limited to -- pet care industry trade shows, dog agility competitions and Canadian Kennel Club events
- Research popular Ontario events (+5000 attendance) happen in 2024 that have markets where our company could be a stand-out vendor. These events do not have to have a pet-focus but have a vending area and a strong regional pull.
- Compile an excel spreadsheet for each stream of events that includes the following information: Event name, location, date, link to website, link to primary social media profile, number of followers on primary social media profile, a brief description of the festival's theme, vendor fees and contact information.
Your information will be gathered through internet searches and interest groups on various social media platforms that relate to the dog industry (ie Reddit, Facebook, etc). We expect the combined lists to contain 100+ events.
