Details

Our company is on the cusp of creating a new product, we understand our users and what they need, we have a vision for our product, what we are missing in order to be able to move toward development is are the models required to guide the developers.

We are looking for a group who is interested in learning what it takes to move a start up forward, and, who is interested in working with us to develop the information architecture and data model artifacts for the product.

  • What are our business processes?
  • How do we structure our business information?
  • What kinds of information do we use within these processes?
  • What kinds of information do we store?
  • Where does it come from? Where does it go?

Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Understanding of the logistics quoting process
  • Understanding of product goals and outcomes
  • Clear linkages between the goals and outcomes and the physical data model

Bonus steps would include:

Final deliverables should include:

  • A conceptual logical data model and a physical data model
  • A final report.
