Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

La Connexional is a community focused social enterprise that is run by a team of dedicated individuals on a part-time basis. We have steadily grown over 4 years, from inaugurating Alberta's only Afro-Latin Festival to building a robust and resilient community through innovative events and workshops. We're currently formalizing our processes and developing new revenue streams in light of the COVID-19 pandemic with the goal of scaling La Connexional nationally and creating impactful employment opportunities.

We want to better understand our target market and audience for an innovative-focused cohort accelerator program we are working on that aims to primarily help BIPOC ArtPreneurs. The primary aim of building the framework of this project is to pitch to investors and stakeholders interested in uplifting underserved communities.

Our primary goals with this project, from first to last, is to conduct:

  • Market Research: Conducting a primary and secondary research, surveying potential customers and evaluating the market potential.
  • Market Positioning: Developing value propositions and use cases for specific market segments.
  • Competitive Advantage: Developing a competitive matrix and differentiation.
  • Business Model Testing: Validating different business models.
  • Pitch & Deck Development: Creating materials for investor presentations.

The research includes but is not limited to:

  • Target market research
  • Industry size and market potential
  • Competitive landscape
  • Strategic positioning of our brand
  • Information retrieval and evaluation
  • Qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis and interpretation
  • Preparation and presentation of research findings
  • Proposal writing
  • Communication of research findings
  • Creation of research tools

Our handle is @laconnexional across all socials.

If you like the sights and sound of our cultures, or simply enjoy the idea of uplifting underserved communities while widening your networks, and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you!
