- What is the main goal for this project?

The goal of this project is to assist the Cosmopolitan Music Society of Edmonton in creating a sponsorship database and making calls to meet potential sponsors. This will involve several different steps for the learners, including:
- Researching potential sponsors and creating a list of potential sponsors.
- Developing a database of potential sponsors and their contact information.
- Making calls to potential sponsors to introduce Cosmopolitan Music Society and discuss potential sponsorship opportunities.
- Maintaining and updating the sponsorship database.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, learners should demonstrate:
- Understanding of the Cosmopolitan Music Society’s mission and goals.
- A comprehensive list of potential sponsors and their contact information.
- Negotiated sponsorship meets with potential sponsors.
- A maintained and updated sponsorship database.
Deliverables: At the end of the project the student will hand in a list of potential sponsors. The student will write a biography of each organization/ key person so that our marketing team can then approach the organization/key person with great knowledge and thus a greater chance of making a deal. As long as the student tries to make contact and set up appointments our organization will be pleased. We do not have a hard number of sponsors that we wish to approach at this time. Once the project is underway we will have a better idea of where we are going with the project.

The Cosmopolitan Music Society of Edmonton has been helping Music Lovers become Music Makers since 1963. The Cosmopolitan Music Society (“Cosmo”) gives amateur adult musicians and singers the opportunity to learn and perform quality concert band, jazz, big band, handbell and choral music. Our beginner band program gives new players the opportunity to learn an instrument, to read music, and work towards a performance skill level that will enable them to play in one of the three concert bands. Under professional music direction, our concert bands and choirs perform at all levels of ability, from beginner to advanced; and our jazz bands at novice to intermediate (Big Band), and advanced (Jazz Orchestra). We strive to create community!
