It was a great experience; the programme was set up very well and supported throughout, with the university being involved at every point. The student team were fully involved and worked hard on our challenge to see if they could come up with some solutions.

Professional students

Tami Ambury was a font of knowledge about Riipen and guided us through the Riipen applications. We were successfully matched to MacEwan students. Tami supported us with JL helpful advice and problem solving.

The students did an outstanding job! We were able to take the information they did and apply it to our organization.

This was an excellent opportunity to work with a very bright group of students in pursuing a report from the research into Barriers in Housing for Urban Indigenous populations. I have been using the report as background information on decisions we are making for the design of our future apartment project for our Indigenous Partners so it has been a very fruitful relationship I had with MacEwan University students and their work.

This program was a game-changer for a small business like Embolden PDC.

As a grad of MacEwan, it was great to work with the School of Business on this project. The information gathered and presented by the student groups was incredible! Research of this quality is usually thousands of dollars; having this type of information is invaluable for a small charity.

Disappointing results.

Wonderful place to work with. MacEwan is very professional yet supportive.

This unfortunately was one of the biggest waste's of our time to date as a company. Not only did the student show up unprepared and show almost zero lack of care for the project but eventually they just stopped showing up for our meetings and completely stopped communicating with us. We've done our best to try and get the project back on track but when we can't even get a response to an email, that seems impossible. We are exceptionally disappointed.

This project was well organized and instructions were clear at each milestone. I enjoyed reading the student's proposals, their insights and thoughts and providing feedback. An unexpected benefit for us was it became clear that how we communicated our company project could use some tweaking in communicating the goals of the project.

Becoming a partner with GMac has been a rewarding experience. Both the County and the students benefitted from the project which definitely makes it a win/win. The students really put in an effort when considering all the options that were available to them in writing policies and challenged myself to think differently in the future.
