ECO Canada is partnering with Riipen, the leading work-integrated learning platform, to provide dynamic pathways to Canada’s environmental sector. Through hands-on, employer-led projects, this collaboration will help aspiring eco-professionals pave their way for success with in-demand skills and work experience. From environmental protection and sustainability, to research, policy, and public awareness, Pathways to Environmental Careers provides accessible internships to support a more inclusive and thriving environmental workforce.

It was my first experience. More closer working with the team would help. It takes a lot of time to figure out how the project works. Lots of documentation. With the benefit of having done it once, it may be less time consuming on the second try.

The studies were team based. We identified shortcomings of the current software toolset that was designed for 1 to 1 mentor / student interaction. We expect that the next projects will run more smoothly. This study identified what investment is required to encourage re-introduction of inter-city connectivity in Alberta

Pathways to Environmental Careers

Flexible

80-hour, fully-subsidized, environmental internships for Canadian employers (January - March 2024)Learners are paid a $1500 CAD stipend on completion of the project by Riipen. Employers are not required to provide payment.Submit a project here for our ECO Pathways team to review.Once approved, learners are not guaranteed yet, but they will apply to your project directly.You will have a chance to review, assess, and accept applications. 3-4 learners should be accepted per project. Projects can start from January 15th and must be completed by March 22nd 2024.Learners are looking to gain experience and provide impact in environmental projects.Projects can include, but are not limited to sustainability strategytraining and educationconservationresearchresource managementadvocacygreen product managementcommunicationsdata analytics digital marketing Get specific in your project description about the skills you're looking for in order to attract the most suitable applicants.
