We are collecting information in order to propose a Social Work Student Led Clinic at MacEwan University.
We will be assessing student needs on MacEwan campus and any gaps in services to help support our partners on campus and the need for a Student Led Social Work Clinic at MacEwan. They will also be reviewing analyzing reports/data collected by BSW pilot project.
Students may also be reading/compiling reports/data generated by MacEwan programs that identify student needs for supports such as mental health, increased wellness services etc..
TASKS:
- Collect information from MacEwan Services and identifying student needs on campus
- Conduct literature reviews (possibly)
- Work collaboratively with other students on the project
- Meet virtually with project team including Project Lead/s
- Summarize findings
- Faculty (DL) will meet with the students to explain the project and ensure they understand the goals, resources, outcomes and deadline. Resources include the MacEwan Library (Databases etc.) The Faculty will support the development of the search criteria and provide a list of potential sources to assess the gaps(Wellness Team, Existing reports etc.).
- The Faculty will be available to answer questions via email and to meet when necessary via Google Meets throughout the duration of the project. We will also assign a secondary contact (another Faculty (KD) working on the project) in the event the student cannot reach the Project Lead.
