We are a recycling design firm in Ottawa that uses waste and scrap to build our furnishings, fixtures and displays. Our material sources typically come from construction site scrap, retired museum exhibits, old retails displays and other commercial sources. As part of this project, we want to focus on streamlining our operations and redesign the material collection segment of our production process. We would like to explore a new method of material collection - potentially providing access points or a new system to make it easier for our sources. We need insights to help us understand the best approach to doing this. Initial questions to brainstorm include, but are not limited to:
1. How can our current material collection process be refined?
2. Should we partner with local companies to increase the quantity of materials collected?
3. Should we launch a bin project or new material collection process? Is this viable?
4. How do we build awareness, acquire customers, and defend any early success?
We are looking to gain alternative perspectives on potential operational tactics and better understand the current competitive market.
