Details

The student will be required to help us to develop a mobile phone-based reporting app for field implementation in Malawi. As a mobile application developer, student can put his/her passion to create effective and cutting-edge mobile app for social change.

About the App: NutritionOps aims to develop a mobile app to monitor and survey the Food and Nutrition security situation in the districts affected by frequent climate events in Malawi. The app will be used for reporting metrics such as the characterizations of markets, price fluctuations, and availability and affordability of a wide variety of food groups. This app will be used by youth leaders to ensure accuracy of reporting and to ensure that results are available quickly. Standard methodologies such as the Food insecurity Experience Scale will be used as the foundation for questions.
