Our organization is able to offer a virtual internship opportunity for Human Resources students or teams. In this project students will be able to work in the following areas: Creating job postings on job board Recruit volunteers (screening/interviewing) Organizing online career fairs Research HRM best practices: Topics that will be covered includes their change in work from home policies, benefits, recruiting process, onboarding process, Diversity & Inclusion, etc. Research/report about how companies are adapting with COVID19 and switching to a remote working force Organizing webinars and interviewing people in the tech sector about their career (e.g. HR, Marketing, etc) and insights about their company's culture, so people can gain insights into what this career is like We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern using these communication tools: Zoom + Swit (it's like Slack+Trello) Student's primary contact : Kenneth Ip, CEO - Careerin
HR Policies
Aim To enhance student awareness and understanding of corporate purposes and applications of human resource policies. To provide practical experience with policy development and audit. To facilitate student awareness of municipal employment contexts in general, and Wetaskiwin County (WC) in particular. Assignment Complete a series of progressive segments that ultimately provides WC with 1) a draft policy audit tool, 2) sample audit scores on existing policies, 3) drafts revisions of policies, and 4) comments regarding expected causes or indicators of policy staling. Students also complete an ‘assignment learnings’ reflection document. Assessment Professional: Following each segment submission the Community Partner will provide practice-oriented constructive comments that may indicate a) the perceived professional value/quality of the submitted work, b) positive reinforcement, and c) opportunities for professional improvement.

Internship Positions available: 20 students Career Change, Selection and Job Search Course Research and Development to develop full courses and or modules - mostly nontechnical elements. CareerNiche Inc. is a growing HR boutique transition firm that assists with Employee training, and coaching (both one on one and group coaching on zoom and with career masterminds). We want to assist in your career development to help support your future success in the Human Resources field or Training and Development specialties. these courses will help our corporate and individual clients with career job seeking, career transition, career change, career selection to find their dream jobs, career pivots and more. The Following are general qualifications and duties: We want students or interns to scope out through ideation, conceptualization and then actual execution of training plans for career transition courses. We completed the interview secrets course recently and it took several months for the course design and over 2 months to select videos, create quizzes and gamification and PowerPoints. You can choose to work in a small team of 2 to 3 other students or on your own doing business analysis with our "subject matter experts" (SMEs) and learning architect and managers. Digital Content Creation for 1000towns.ca
Number of individual students required: 15 students from all Canadian Provinces and Territories 1000towns.ca website was created three years ago. We launched >70 unique pages Top Places to Visit in your Town. We would like students to help us with creating content about towns in all provinces/territories that are aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. You can check existing pages on 1000towns.ca to clarify our formats. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Choose 5-10 towns they are interested Choose the most interesting attractions for each town Write a short description of each attraction 'Communicate with local communities asking for feedback and ideas Assist with social media to promote 1000 Towns Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our organization. If you like the sound of our culture and enjoyment of travelling off-the-beaten-path and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you. A student with excellent writing skills and an interest in local travelling would be the ideal candidate for this project.
