Community Events Intern
This position reports into the National Managers, Community Events. In this capacity you will be responsible for supporting logistical and administrative elements of our in-person Autism Speaks Canada Walk and Walk on Wheels Clubs across Canada. Logistical responsibilities will include sourcing and implementing event day requirements and activities for volunteers and contractors to execute at the event ie. “Walk logistics in a box”. You may be called upon to support other community campaigns as required. PRIMARY Responsibilities · Create a fun celebratory experience for our in-person Walks and Walk on Wheels Car Parades. Event day activities should be fun, safe (following all covid protocols for the community) and be sensory friendly. · Research and secure venues for all Walks and Walk on Wheels events taking into consider event size and cost. · Responsible for arranging event day rentals, deliveries, pick-ups with volunteers/contractors
