This is a great opportunity to grow a comprehensive portfolio of work showcasing experience in business development, community management, and content development. You will gain experience building a portfolio in a global impact topic. Responsibilities include:Plan, develop, and execute business development strategies to attract and retain a pipeline of startups, industry leaders, and others to speak at our events and on our podcastCoordinate event preparation and logistics activities to ensure speakers and attendees have a meaningful and streamlined experienceGrow and engage our growing community on Slack via content curation, direct communication, and moreDraft written content and marketing pieces for inclusion on the Understory website and for use in business development activitiesOther strategic projects and day-to-day activities based on Lead's interest areasDesired qualities and skills include:Interest in changing the world, particularly a passion for sustainability and innovationExcellent communicator both with internal and external stakeholdersClear and persuasive written communication skills with and interest in trying new business development strategiesExperience with Slack (or willingness to learn)Self-starter that likes to tackle challenges in driving impactCreative and innovative mindset, with a willingness to try new thingsThis is a part-time, virtual internship with a flexible schedule. This is a great opportunity to grow a comprehensive portfolio of work showcasing experience in crafting campaign strategies and executing creative content.
