We are a 4 generation tea shop that has been in operation for 15 years. We sell organic, fair trade loose leaf tea and tea accessories. We have 300 teas to choose from and currently have about 150 custom blends. We are looking to expand our internal business processes in order to scale our organization in an efficient and effective manner.

Website Development
Our company advertises hundreds of products online. We hope to update and revamp our existing website to attract more customers. We would like to work with students to develop a new website that is easy to maintain while providing an appealing interface for users. This can be achieved through common site building tools, but we would prefer to stay with our current Shopify provider. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Researching different site-building tools and their associated advantages / disadvantages. Conducting a needs analysis to determine which platform is most suitable. Building a website, with our assistance in providing the content. Providing training on updating and maintaining the website. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Testing prototypes with customers and refining ideas with feedback.
Designing a Human Resources Performance Evaluation
As our organization grows, it is important to stay up to date with the industry’s evolving human resources practices to manage our employees effectively. In this project, students will design a preliminary model of a new performance evaluation system that emphasizes our company goals, and draws a focus to our main challenges that staff are facing. Tasks include: Speaking to current employees and management to determine the needs and challenges of our organization for a performance management system. Researching performance management options that may suit the needs of our team, focusing on measurability and reliability. Establishing a rollout plan that outlines how our organization will transition to using a new performance management system. Using a weighted decision matrix to decide on a method based on factors such as efficiency, user-friendliness, measurability, reliability, and cost- effectiveness.
Social Media Campaign Strategy for Steve's Tea Company & Tearoom
The main goal for the project is to create a comprehensive social media campaign strategy for Steve's Tea Company & Tearoom, with a focus on Google and Tiktok. The strategy should aim to boost brand awareness, celebrate the company's 15 years in business, and increase online sales conversion rates. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: - Conducting market research to understand the target audience and their preferences on Google and Tiktok. - Developing a content calendar with engaging and relevant posts for both platforms. - Creating visually appealing and informative content, including videos, images, and written posts. - Implementing paid advertising campaigns on both Google and Tiktok to reach a wider audience based on market research - Analyzing the performance of the campaign and making adjustments based on the data.
Market Strategy for Local Tea Company
The primary focus for the student will be: Strategy - Develop an implementation plan for entering a new market; develop a go-to-market digital strategy; Marketing - Complete a full customer, competitor, market, and environmental analysis; complete a marketing strategy review; design a new marketing strategy (product, place, price, and promotion).
